  3. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying it.
  4. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are required to
  5. register it.

  7. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and retail software, and the
  8. copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated
  9. below. Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like retail
  10. authors, and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are
  11. good programs and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  12. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute
  13. the software, either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For example,
  14. some authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may
  15. copy their Shareware.

  18. software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's retail or
